A special session of the Batumi city council was held on August 31. 13  Issues were discussed at the session.

Today’s session was ellected Mariza Abashidze from the National movement who was replaced by Gia Abuladze.

A little park situated in Javakhishvili Street, Batumi, nearby the School № 12, has been named after the Georgian fighters, victims of the Georgia-Russia war.

A memorial board in the park has been opened by Batumi City Council Chairman Giorgi Kirtadze and Batumi Mayor Robert Chkhaidze together with the children of one of the perished soldier Teimuraz Beridze.

On today’s session ,the MPs had a discussion about the amendments in the main financial document.  Batumi budget was achieved 162 million 400 thousand GEL for the first time in the City Council history.

So, the budget increase by 16 million GEL

The surplus will mainly be spent on the improvement of communal infrastructure

In the hall of City Council presentation of the budget which this time amounts to 146,859 million GEL was held for the 2010 City Council new assembly.

The budget was presented by the Chief of the City Hall financial-economic service Jemal Ananidze to the new City Council staff, Programs in the field were discussed in details by the managers of the subsequent services.
