The Chairman of Batumi City Council Suliko Tebidze and members of City Council today attended public discussion of the draft law about “physical upbringing and sport”. The meeting was carried out by the initiative of Sport and Youth Affairs Committee of the Parliament of Georgia in youth spectator theatre, together with the Chairman of this Committee Mikheil Kavelashvili, meeting attended the Chairman of Ajara Governmnet Tornike Rijvadze, the Chairman of Ajara Supreme Council Davit Gabaidze, the mayor of City Hall Lasha Komakhidze, the Minister of Ajara Education, Culture and Sport Inga Shamilishvili and member of the Parliament of Georgia Mukhran Vakhtangadze. The event attended interested people and organizations. By the said of the organizers the aim of the new law is timely reaction on the challenges existed in the sphere pf sport, among them sport education, development of the infrastructure and sport medicine.
